On Tuesday, the San Diego Strike (IFL) signed former Arizona Rattlers (IFL) star WR Isaiah Huston.

After trading WR Shane Hooks to the Jacksonville Sharks (IFL) in apart of the James Cahoon trade, they also traded star WR Dallas Daniels to the Tulsa Oilers (IFL) in exchange for DL DeShawn Lynch.

In need of a WR1, San Diego went out to get the star WR in free agency. The downside to this signing? He hasn't played since 2025. Huston went on a hiatus during the 2026 Indoor Football League (IFL) Season.

During his electric 2025 season with Arizona, Huston recorded 61 receptions for 756 yards, and 11 touchdowns, 54.0 receiving per game, and 12.4 yards per catch in 14 games. Huston also had multiple game winning plays for the Rattlers, which led Arizona to a home playoff game in the desert.

Despite Huston going on hiatus in 2026, San Diego has found a WR1 that is sure to dominate.
