After what was a back and forth regular season for the Tigers, Louisiana prevails in Mesquite to take home the 2026 8-Man Indoor Football League (8MIFL) Championship. The Tigers, who started with a 31-17 victory over the Dallas MBG Kings in Week 1, which also happened to be an Arena Football Scorigami, ended up ranked No. 2 in the Week 24 Semi-Pro Poll. The Tigers then were set to play in one of the biggest semi-pro games of the 2026 Season in Week 2 as they faced the No. 1 ranked Dallas Dawgs. The Tigers got held to less than double digit points as they fell to Dallas, 19-9, putting them at .500. With the postseason right around the corner, the Tigers were able to get their free win out of the way in Week 3 as they dominated the Lewisville Savage, 56-9, clinching themselves into the playoffs with one week of the regular season to go. Headed into Week 4, the top two seeds in the 8MIFL playoffs were clinched but the seeding wasn't. The Tigers and Dawgs once again faced off to wrap up the regular season, and once again the Dawgs came out on top, but this time in thrilling fashion. Dallas won the game 31-30, clinching the one seed and handing Louisiana the two seed. After a bye week and week of cancellation, the three seeded Dallas MBG Kings and two seeded Louisiana Tigers finally played their 8MIFL Semifinals game, and the Tigers prevailed 22-10, advancing to the 8MIFL Championship for the third time in franchise history. Then came the championship, the 3-2, 2 seeded Louisiana Tigers took on the No. 1 team in semi-pro arena football, the 4-0, 1 seeded Dallas Dawgs. The Tigers ended up pulling off the upset, as they defeated the Dawgs 28-16, finishing the season at 4-2 and winning the 2026 8MIFL Championship. The Tigers were led by a bunch of stars as ATH Larry Mo Jr. was named 8MIFL MVP. ATH (WR) Larry Mo Jr., OL Jaycob Daniels, DB La'Roderick Scott, DL Brewer Whaley, and DL Jamar Alexander were all named to the 2026 All-8MIFL First Team. Congratulations to your 2026 8-Man Indoor Football League (8MIFL) Champions, the 4-2 Louisiana Tigers!
