INDOOR ARENA NEWS

Privacy & cookies

Updated October 16, 2026

This notice explains how Indoor Arena News handles information when you read coverage, use an account, subscribe to the newsletter, or contact us.

Information you provide

We use your email address and account information to provide sign-in, profiles and reader features. Your selected teams and leagues help personalize coverage and notifications. Author names, biographies, photos and published article credits are public. Newsletter subscriptions use your email and any selected preferences. News tips and corrections may include your name, email, links and message; these are available to site administrators.

Cookies and site usage

Essential cookies support sign-in and security. Our site also records visits, referring-source categories, article interactions and newsletter attribution to understand readership. The visitor cookie can last up to one year; the traffic-session cookie lasts up to 30 minutes. Browser storage may retain preferences and editor drafts. Our traffic script respects Global Privacy Control.

Advertising and Google

We use Google AdSense to support our reporting. Once advertising is approved and available, Google and its advertising partners may use cookies, device identifiers, IP addresses and browsing information to serve and measure ads, prevent fraud and, where permitted and consented to, personalize advertising. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your previous visits to this and other websites. Google's advertising cookies enable Google and its partners to serve ads based on visits to this site and other sites on the Internet.

You can manage personalized advertising through Google My Ad Center and learn how Google uses information from sites that use its services. Other participating vendors offer choices at YourAdChoices. Where applicable, Google's consent or privacy message offers additional choices before or during advertising.

Your privacy choices

Use “Privacy choices” in the footer of an advertising-supported page to reopen Google's message when available. You can also disable Google ads entirely for this browser on IAN. This stores a preference cookie for one year and does not sign you out. Global Privacy Control disables our ad loader automatically.

This browser preference does not erase earlier data or change choices on other websites. You can delete cookies and browser storage in your browser settings. Clearing the preference cookie resets this choice.

Service providers and external content

Service providers help us host the site, store content, authenticate accounts, deliver email and serve advertising. These include our hosting infrastructure, Supabase for email/password authentication, Resend for newsletter delivery and Google for advertising. Embedded YouTube content and external social-media links are governed by those providers' privacy notices; interacting with them may share information with the provider.

Your information and requests

You can edit available profile and preference settings in your account and unsubscribe using the link in a newsletter. To request access, correction or deletion of your information, or ask about advertising and privacy choices, use our contact form and identify your request as a privacy request. Please do not send passwords or sensitive identification documents. We may need to verify a request before acting on it. Applicable privacy rights depend on where you live.

We keep information as needed to operate the service, maintain published journalism, meet obligations and resolve requests. This notice may change as site features or providers change; the update date above will reflect revisions.
